- Albrecht Lund was raised on Mars by his father, Joachim, police chief for Barsoom Station. The elder Lund once arrested Wayne Samuels as a teenager which nearly ruined Samuels' chances to attend Starfleet Academy, and Samuels holds Albrecht responsible.
Lt. Lund Served on the USS Seraphim NCC-43590, on a deep space exploration mission to the coreward edge of Federation Space, and on the Gavra III Colony, where he served with LCdr. Samson, then a Lieutenant.

- Albrecht is a bit of a devil-may-care adventurer who sees space as the ultimate playground. He is fiercely proud of his heritage as a Martian - his ancestors were among the first colonists on the Red Planet and one of them co-wrote the Fundamental Declarations of the Martian Colonies. He is fond of all types of music and one never knows what type he will play next - sometimes to the regret of his crewmates who have endured his flings with Klingon Opera and something called "Country & Western." In appearance, he is of medium height and stocky in build, with dark blond hair cut very short, blue eyes and a ruddy complexion.
