- T'Faz originally studied the Way of Kohlinar with the intent of becoming a Vulcan Master. However, the Masters decided that she was not yet ready and that she would benefit from going out and gaining life experience in the world outside their cloistered existence. She decided that she could best do so by joining Starfleet, and at age 23 she entered the Academy.
While at the Academy, T'Faz became a Flight Control officer and studied advanced research engineering. Her cadet cruise was spent on the initial precommissioning trials for USS Voyager NCC-74656, the latest Intrepid class starship. After graduation, she requested and received assignment to Voyager for her postcommissioning shakedown, testing the new variable geometry warp drive systems, Voyager being the first Federation ship to have this feature. She left Voyager for her sister ship, USS Eagle NCC-74685, only days before Voyager disappeared in the Badlands. She served as a Flight Control officer on the Eagle for four years, patrolling the Federation.
Lieutenant T'Faz is currently assigned to Dyson Base as pilot of the runabout Tiber

- At 2.1 metres in height, T'Faz is unusually tall even for a Vulcan, and thin almost to the point of gauntness. She lives an ascetic lifestyle, eating the minimum to sustain health and eschewing most of what the other Dyson Base crew regards as entertainment. Rather, almost all her free time is spent deep in meditation.
T'Faz is extremely even tempered and maintains the usual stoic, emotionless Vulcan facade. She strives to see the deeper meaning in every event and tries to find the logic behind even the most seemingly illogical of happenings. She does not indulge in the usual Vulcan of chiding others for their illogic, accepting that in the spirit of IDIC they are behaving according to their inner nature. She will on all occassions attempt to find an alternative to violence.
