The Archer class has three habitable deck levels served by ladders for access. A pair of landing struts rotate down from the underside of Deck Two to deploy. On the end of each landing strut is an umbrella-like mechanism which unfolds to deploy a large disc-shaped landing pad (5m in dametre). The forward landing pad runs along the bottom of the deflector housing.
