- The following is a listing of the equipment and supplies which a beginning Wizard Character is assumed to have accumulated prior to the start of play.
NOTE: In accordance with the rule of iron, all metal items are of bronze, silver, or other non-ferrous metal.
- 20 Gold pieces
- 100 Silver pieces
- 20 Copper pieces
- A Wizard does not start off with any weapons or armour. These may be purchased out of accumulated cash (see above), bearing in mind the rule of iron.
- One set of travelling clothes (plain but in good repair):
- 1 robe OR 1 tunic and 1 pair breeches
- 1 woolen cloak
- 1 pair sturdy boots
- 1 pair gloves
- 1 belt with pouch
- One set of working robes (relatively fancy):
- 1 embroidered robe
- 1 sash
- 1 set of cords
- 1 cap
- 1 pair slippers
- One set of town clothes, styles to Player's choosing (may be plain or moderately fancy).
- 1 staff (if Staff spell is known, this will be a Wizard's Staff)
- 1 knapsack
- 1 10m coil of rope
- 2 blankets
- 1 waterskin or canteen
- 1 breadbag
- 1 set of utensils:
- 1 spoon
- 1 knife
- 1 pan or bowl
- 1 mug
- 1 tinderbox with flint and bronze striker
- 1 valise or shoulder bag
- 1 Book
- 2 silver knives
- 2 dozen candles (1 dozen white, 1 dozen in various colours)
- 1 brazier
- 1 mortar & pestle
- 1 copper bowl
- 4 wands of different materials (wood, bone, crystal and copper)
- Miscellaneous herbs, incenses, tinctures, potions, unguents, etc...
