- Lord Bowen came to the world known as the Glory Road through a domensional gate and has never been able to find his way home. He has risen to the position of Lord High Magus, the Royal Court Mage of his adopted city of Saane in the Kingdom of Pars. He is betrothed to the Arch-Magus of the Mages' Guild, Lady Astra, who has disappeared in astral travel. He will do anything to get her back.

- Bowen is a huge mountain of a man, dressed all in black, wearing ornate black-enamelled and gilt-trimmed bronze armour, and black silken robes. He wears a gemmed headband which acts as a psionic focus raising his strength and dexterity by +1. He carries an ornate staff which he uses to direct psionic attacks. Bowen is accompanied by a large black Siamese cat with a crumpled ear - his familiar, Ba'al Pe'or.
He is overweeningly arrogant and abusive of his power. He will coerce the characters psionically into doing his bidding. If this does not work, he will attempt to bribe them or use his temporal influence to force them. If this fails, he will, as a final resort, claim it was all a misunderstanding and attempt to charm them.
