Background Notes:
Lintilla is a rather unfortunate woman who has been cloned 578,000,000,000 times due to an accident at a Brantisvogan escort agency. While creating six clones of a wonderfully talented and attractive woman named Lintilla (at the same time another machine was creating five hundred lonely business executives, in order to keep the laws of supply and demand operating profitably), the machine got stuck in a loop and malfunctioned in such a way that it got halfway through completing each new Lintilla before it had finished the previous one. This meant that it was for a very long while impossible to turn the machine off without committing murder, despite lawyers' best efforts to argue about what murder actually was, including trying to redefine it, repronounce it, and respell it in the hope that no one would notice.
Arthur Dent encountered three of her on the planet of Brontitall, and took a liking to (at least) one of them. He killed one of three male anti-clones, all called Allitnil (Lintilla backwards), sent by the cloning company to get her to "agree to cease to be" (although the other two of her "consummate" this legal agreement with their respective anti-clones).
Arthur left Zaphod, Ford, and Zarniwoop van Harl stranded with the Ruler of the Universe and his cat, he taking one of the Lintillas with him aboard the Heart of Gold..
Later, Lintilla surprised Arthur by inviting three more of her "sisters" aboard...

The four Lintilla "sisters" are actually clones from the planet Brantisvogon, and thus are indistinguishable even by tricorder scan, right down to the genetic level. The only way to tell them apart besides their differing hairsytles and clothing is by fingerprints or a retinal scan. Even then, the readings are very close and if not carefully studied it can be hard to tell them apart. The Lintillas are archæologists from the Brantisvogan Megalycée. They are all 1.75m tall and mass 65kg, with fair skin, red/blonde hair and grey eyes.
Notes:
I have given the Lintillas the full name of Lintilla Spilinpilem, since the name of the anti-clones, Allitnil is Lintilla spelled backwards. When the Allitnils first introduced themselves, they called themselves Melipnilips. I decided this was their surname, therefore Lintilla's surname would be Spilinpilem.
