- The maze in which the Characters awaken consists of six levels of linked domes. Each dome has a central chamber surrounded by a corridor. The central chamber is entered by way of three doors set 120° apart. Each chamber is divided into from one to three smaller rooms. Some of these are generic settings or technical spaces, but others, usually smaller rooms taking up only part of a chamber, are representations of specific places.
Doors within the maze complex are, unless otherwise specified, automatic sliding doors. Inner doors are coded by the individual dome
colour, while outer doors to other domes are coded by the colour of the destination dome. Carpets in the corridors are a pastel shade of the
individual dome colour.
Each dome is connected to the others by an airlock, to keep the different climates separate. These doors are set at multiples of 30° from
each other, the specific angles and number of doors varying from dome to dome.
