 Duck Blind Two is situated about 5 million kilometres west of Freeman's Island. It overlooks a village of the Vettii, a humanoid race.
  The Vettii are an average-sized humanoid race with jet black skin and fair hair ranging from red to straw blond. Their culture is clan-based with little gender bias - women are as likely to be warriors and leaders as men. They have iron-age technology, and a mixed hunter/agricultural lifestyle. |
 The Vettii village is a walled town on a rocky outcrop on a mountainside, surrounded by mixed deciduous and coniferous forest. Duck Blind Two is concealed in the cliff overlooking the village. Sensors are emplaced throughout the village and surrounding areas. |
