 The Star Trek: Rising Sun campaign continues the adventures of the crew of the USS Lena. Having been detatched to Starfleet Intelligence, newly promoted Commander M'Rel and Lieutenants Leiliri, Seth and Tal have been transferred from Dyson Base to the SS Rising Sun, on a covert mission to investigate a possible extra-dimensional incursion by a huge, 19 kilometre long starship. Their only leads: a missing psionic warrior and a robot desperate to track him down. |

Juran, a member of the Jedi Order, fled his home dimension aboard the Federation starship USS St. Roch before the Dominion War. He served for a few years on the USS Challenger before disappearing mysteriously. Wesson, an R2 astromech unit, accompanied him on the Challenger and subsequently taught at Starfleet Academy, where he met Tal who was taking a course on temporal mechanics. When Juran disappeared, Wesson contacted Tal. The only clue they had was an Imperial Super Star Destroyer which had pursued Juran and Wesson through the wormhole and was searching the Romulan Neutral Zone for Juran.
The Super Star Destroyer Invictus is a huge command ship from the Galactic Empire, commanded by Grand Admiral Han Solo. It is the personal command ship of Lord and Lady Vader, apprentices to Emperor 0B-1 Kenobi. The Invictus has proceeded on to the Triangle in its search for Juran. Starfleet Intelligence has become concerned about the possibility of a dangerous entity on its borders and has assembled a crew with deniability to investigate. The crew of the Lena was selected for their experience with cross-dimensional affairs and Wesson for his knowledge of Imperial systems. Jonathan D'Arcy is there for his Intelligence expertise. Henri K'Rang is working for Starfleet to avoid a penal sentence for his confidence scams. Giovanna del Chiaro is a former Maquis fundraiser selected for her knowledge of the Triangle underworld.
