One of my favourite types of adventure is the crossover between different universes. In my old Star Trek: St. Roch campaign, I had the Federation starship USS St. Roch travel through a wormhole to an alternate Star Wars universe, where the crew was joined by an R2 Astromech Droid and a Minor Jedi; in my Star Trek: Lucas campaign, one of the major NPCs is a Traveller mercenary; and in my Star Trek: Challenger campaign, several characters are holdovers from my original FASA-based Star Trek: Excalibur game.

Converting characters from one system to another is a somewhat subjective art - there's rarely a real one-to-one correspondance between statistics in differing game systems. These tables should be used only as a guide, not as a set of hard-and-fast mathematical equations.

The following game systems are covered by the tables. The names in the top row of each table are generalised abbreviations and can be referenced to the list below

Assigning equivalents to skills is largely a matter of GM taste. Systems which are "skills light," such as Traveller, should have the skills broken down into a number of related Star Trek skills.
