The Type 8 Shuttlecraft is an updated version of the older Type 6 Shuttlecraft. It has a slightly larger hull with newer warp engines, longer range and improved performance, and is expected to replace the Type 6 in service over the next few decades.
Statistics for the Type 8 Shuttlecraft are identical to the Type 6 Shuttlecraft on page 221 of the Star Trek, The Next Generation Core Rule Book.
