Formally know as the Affiliation of Outer Free Worlds, the Baker's Dozen is a relatively loose alliance based on common interests and mutual defence, formed after the Four Years War of the 2250's.
Baker's World was founded by Starfleet Lt. David Lawrence Baker after the disasterous Four Years War in the 2250's. The alliance known as the Affiliation of Outer Free Worlds quickly grew up aroud Baker's World, gaining the nickname "Baker's Dozen."
