Narendra III was the site of an ill-fated Klingon outpost that was attacked by Romulan forces in 2344. The Ambassador-class USS Enterprise-C, commanded by Capt. Rachel Garrett, rendered aid during the incident. Although the Enterprise-C was reported lost, the heroism of the ship's crew so impressed the Klingon government that it led to improved relations between the Federation and the Klingons.
