The current Starfleet uniform consists of a close-fitting, soft woven garment in a variety of styles and colours. Colours of uniforms no longer indicate branch of servive. This is now indicated on the insignia. Styles include single piece and two-piece outfits with either short or long sleeves. Footwear is incorporated into the trousers. The new PerScan bodily function monitor is worn at the waist, attached to the garment by an integral strap.
