- Colin's parents were researchers into temporal phenomena. For as long as he can remember, he has been fascinated by time travel
both fictional and actual, from the classic novel by H.G. Wells to the exploits of James T. Kirk. He was recruited by the Department of Temporal Investigations while in university. His first posting was as a Liaison officer to the Federation Intelligence Service, where he met and befriended Gianni Mastroianni. For reasons he has never been able to understand, his relationship with FIS earned him the enmity of a fellow DTI agent, Belan Fiort.

- Colin Bush is shorter than average, with a stocky build. His clothing always has a comfortable, lived-in look; not actually rumpled, but not what one would call crisp. He is moody, often preoccupied with whatever mission is at hand. He is fascinated with history, and will often spend an entire day observing various permutations of an historical event in the Holodeck. The most common of these recreations is the Kennedy assassination, which he regards as a possible temporal or extraterrestrial intervention in Earth's affairs.

- Author's Notes
- Agent Bush may be encountered in any campaign involving time travel. He may be sent by DTI to debrief characters who have had a time travel experience, or the characters may be assigned to assist him in stopping a temporal terrorist. If the characters are involved in sanctioned temporal experiments, he may be assigned as a DTI observer. Finally, the characters may actually encounter Agent Bush in the past if they are time travelling.
