   The K-3 qalaH class Gunboat, named for a small, nocturnal predator native to Veridor is a small, fast, armed vessel used for system and perimeter defense. It is generally deployed in swarm attacks, a favoured Klingon tactic. The K-3, formerly produced at Taamar, Gnuu Re', and Z'hai, is no longer in production. The Starfleet codename for the vessel is Dagger, for its resemblance to a Dk'tagh, the Klingon warriors' knife. It is 53m long and has a crew of 10-15 warriors. Often based at planetside facilities, it atmospheric capable and able to land.
