 Deck 5 is the top level in the lower Sensor Pod. Two Turbolift cars descend through shafts in the pylons to access the level. Paralleling the Turboshafts are the Jefferies Tubes and the feed lines for the antimatter and deuterium, as well as the Warp Plasma conduits. The Pod houses the probe launcher, which can also fire the ship's small complement of Photon torpedoes. The ship is not equipped with Quantum torpedoes, though it can fire such weapons from its standard launch mechanism. A long corridor houses sensor monitoring consoles, not all of which are crewed at all times. Above the deck is the deuterium tankage, while below it is Warp Engineering, the antimatter bunkerage, the main sensor equipment and the forward deflector. There are two ASRV's on Deck Five. the deck is ringed with sensor pallettes. |
