 Deck 6 is the middle level in the lower Sensor Pod. Two Turbolift cars service the level. The habitable area is quite small, and features a depressed centre deck. Two access hatches lead to Deck Seven. Several consoles line the chamber as well as a "pool-table" Systems Monitor. The level houses the ship's M/ARA, or Matter/Antimatter Reaction Assembly, also known as the Warp Core. Surrounding the Warp Engineering spaces are the antimatter bunkers. At the aft end of the Pod are the main sensors, while forward is the main Deflector and the navigational sensors. There are four ASRV's on Deck Six should the crew need to evacuate in the event of a Warp Core melt-down. |
