 The overall profiles of the Oberth are still recognisably Starfleet, but with a twist in that the canoe-shaped Secondary Hull is connected not by a thick dorsal pylon but by the twin nacelle pylons. The main deflector is contained in the metallic dome at the front underside of the Secondary Hull. The deuterium tanks are located on the upper surface of the Secondary Hull which limits the vessel's use as a warship. With that in mind, the Oberth usually carries no photorps, using that space for probes. It does, however, mount four single phasers. |
