Starbug 1 is a long-range shuttlecraft from the Jupiter Mining Corporation ship Red Dwarf, refitted with an alien hyperdrive. It is one of four Starbug class shuttles carried by the JMC Red Dwarf, for which they are currently searching. It is crewed by Dave Lister and his cohorts, Arnold Rimmer (a Hologram of Lister's dead roommate), Cat (descended from Lister's pet cat, Frankenstein), Kryten (a Mechanoid) and Christine Kochanski (a parallel universe version of Lister's unrequited love object).
